Summary of Willesden summer audaxes

A gentle reminder that between next weekend and late August the club is running seven audaxes, ranging from 50Km to 600Km. The ones coming up soon are:

BRM [PBP]  £7.00    Liam  Fitzpatrick
Controls at Woodstock, Tewkesbury, Chepstow and Membury, plus 1 information control.
A simple 400km PBP qualifier. X rated BRM for experienced audaxers from Chalfont St Peter to Chepstow & back. All commercial controls; postal finish. Zero TLC & a grumpy wave off from the organiser – proper audax.

It really does show the best of the river Thames. There are a few ups to Marlow, then to Hambleden, Henley and Sonning. The ride goes through some pretty villages before a half way stop at Dinton Pastures. The second half of the ride takes towards Ascot and through Windsor Great Park. On the home straight  you visit Datchet and Eton and pass the Fat Duck in Bray.

Starting at Jenner’s cafe there is one up to Pinkneys Green. The ride then goes through some pretty villages before a break at Dinton Pastures. The second half of the ride goes towards Ascot and back  to Maidenhead via Fifield and Bray.
