At last night’s club meeting Gladys reported that Meurig James had completed the Etape de Tour in a highly respectable time of 7 hours 22mins. His good form continued when he came close to breaking the club record in the National Championship 100 mile event in Bedfordshire recently, posting a 4:05:10.
Rocco still holds the record (he did a 4:02:59 when he was 60!), but for how much longer …………….?
