Mark’s father, John Brooking, passed away in February 2011
Willesden Audax riders will remember John for all the support he provided on the Paris-Brest-Paris for many years. He was an essential part of the event and he had a vast knowledge of all the control towns along the route. This years event will not be the same without him. I always remember John for the commitment and support he gave to weary riders. This was often at considerable discomfort to himself, but he was never known to complain. His presence and knowledge on this year’s PBP will certainly be missed.

Very sorry to hear John has passed away. I to was one of those very weary riders, who would not have got round without his support.
