Jayne wins European Silver (again)

Jayne Paine recorded two lifetime bests on her way to a second Silver medal in the European Master Championships at Manchester Velodrome yesterday.

Her bloke posted the following report on Facebook:

She rode a damn near perfect race, but just didn’t quite have enough at the end. She and Janet Birkmyre both rode PBs in really good times. Jayne knocked half a second off her PB in qualifying, then took another second and a half off that in the final. Close, but no cigar, I’m afraid – she missed out on gold by 7/10 of a second. Gutting. But very impressive.

Well done, Jayne.
