Jane Swain on the Fliss Beard Memorial 100

Jane_by_Bassenthwaite_LakeSunday 14th July saw Jane Swain overturn her personal demons to take on the Fliss Beard memorial 100. Transport was kindly provided by Martin and Alison Purser from the Midlands up to Keswick in the lake district.

Conditions were hot and Jane managed 2nd (and last place). With a creditable 5:53:00. Jim Hopper won all the trophies. Its a shame there wasn’t a lantern rouge…..

Next weekend we have a pair of potential winners in the Mersey 24 with Hippy looking to increase his mileage and Jane and Arabella Maude looking for a first on the tandem trike.

I hope its not as hot for riders and helpers!!!!!
