You may remember we had a Willesden CC afternoon out at the at the wonderful Lexi Cinema in Willesden to watch a film about the life of Marco Pantani.

Well, the Lexi have very thoughtfully contacted me to give me the heads up that Graeme OBree will be there in person this weekend to host a Q&A session after his film “Battle Mountain:  the Graeme Obree Story”. The Q&A will be chaired by the BBC’s Countryfile presenter, Charlotte Smith.  And they are bringing along “The Beastie”, which is the bike Graeme used in his speed attempts.

The screening is on Sunday, 3 April, at 5:45. The Lexi is a superb little cinema of about 50 seats based in Kensal Rise, which is right in the heart of Willesden. The cinema is run as a charity donating 100% of its profits to charity and is staffed by local volunteers. It also has a very well stocked bar too, so it couldn’t be better.

Nearest tube station is Kensal Green (Bakerloo and Overground lines) and Kensal Rise (Overground line). There is Bus stop right outsie the cinema for routes 187, 52, 6 and 302. Free parking available in nearby streets too.
