Terms & Conditions for the Willesden Reliability Ride

By entering the event, you understand that:

  1. You understand that it is your responsibility to cycle with care and attention and to understand and abide by the rules, the UK Highway Code and any other rules stipulated by the event organiser before, during and after the event.
  2. You understand that the event organiser will not issue refunds, unless Covid regulations make running the event impractical.
  3. You acknowledge that event entry is personal to you and that you may not exchange it with or sell it to or transfer it to any other person.
  4. You accept that, in relation to your participation in the event, the function of signage is only to indicate direction and that you must decide if any movement you make is safe.
  5. You understand and agree that you participate in the event entirely at your own risk, that you must rely on your own ability in dealing with all hazards, and that you must conduct yourself in a manner that is safe for yourself and all others throughout the duration of the event.
  6. You acknowledge that participation in the event may be physically strenuous and demanding. You are aware of the nature of the event and associated medical and physical risks involved. You further certify that you are physically capable of participating in the event, You will only participate in the event if you are fit enough to do so.
  7. If you have any medical condition/s, including allergies, which the event organiser or event volunteers might need to be aware of, you undertake that you have provided details of these on your entry form.
  8. You accept full liability and responsibility for any medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participating in the event.
  9. Whilst the event organiser takes every care with the staging of the event, you accept that you must safeguard of your person and property during your participation in the event. Personal accident and personal items insurance is your responsibility.
  10. It is your responsibility to provide and use a suitable bicycle and be dressed appropriately for the weather during the event..
  11. You accept that the event organiser reserves the right to amend the event format or cancel the event due to health and safety reasons, including inclement weather or any other act of god conditions. You accept that your Entry Fee shall be non-refundable in such circumstances.
  12. All decisions by the event organiser and event volunteers are considered final.
  13. The event organiser will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under the Terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  14. Willesden CC may take photos of event participants for the club website, social media and for event publicity and you give it permission to photograph you.
  15. Under 18s: there are risks from bad weather conditions and the 100Km route is tough so…
    • Minimum age 12
    • Under 14s can only ride the 50Km event, with a responsible adult
    • Under 16s can ride either distance with a responsible adult
    • 16 and 17 year olds can ride either distance unaccompanied.
    • For every under 18 a Parental Consent Form must be filled in and signed by a parent or legal guardian and brought to the event.

Covid rules

  1. You will comply with any rules needed to keep the event following Covid regulations and/or rules issued by Cycling UK, insurers of the event
  2. You must not attend the event if you:
    • Are showing any Covid symptoms, such as a sudden loss of taste or smell and/or a high temperature.
    • Have been recently diagnosed with Covid
    • Have recently had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with Covid
    • Are awaiting the result of a Covid test you were asked to perform
    • Are feeling unwell
    • Are supposed to be self-isolating or in quarantine.
